Hi,
My name is Janet Paul and I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico with my husband of 30 years.  We have been here for 4 years and just love it!  We got transferred here with my husbands job at the telephone company.  He retired 2 years ago.

My family is mostly living in Utah where I lived for 61 years.  We have 7 children and 9 grandchildren who are the absolute best.  It was my daughter, Kim who introduced me to the wonderful world of Polymer Clay.  She saw a Martha Stewart show where they had a demonstration of how to make canes.  (see photo)  She invited me over and we made some pens and were both hooked.  My husband used to come into my workroom at 3:00 in the morning and ask me if I was coming to bed!  I had always done one kind of a craft or another but when I tried this I never wanted to do anything else.  I get to play with clay every day!  I have slowed down a little in the past year however and do try to get a good nights rest.

I have friends who really liked what I was doing and encouraged me to keep going.  I am mostly self taught and did not have any idea how to sell my things or get a business going.  It has been a great adventure with lots of bumps in the road.  Mostly because of all that it takes to get a business going what with taxes and everything like that.  I just want to make things and have fun and not have to do the other things that go along with a business.  Anyway, it has worked for me and I have met so many wonderful people through this busines from customers all over the world to the other wonderful artists that I have met over the years at my shows.

I would like to say a big "thank you" to my sweet husband, Steve for all of the help that he is to me and for the love and support he shows me.  I could not have done this without him!

Anyway, that is a little overview of how I got started with this.  I hope that you find this web site of use to you and that you will feel free to contact me at any time.
